I called Mr. Electric after picking up an electrical smell in the kitchen recently. To highlight our situation, a fire truck showed up years ago after somebody left chandelier lights turned on too long, causing a fire in our house. Looking for answers concerning that electric smell, I found the company on Angie, and called for a review and quote. A text message response arrived only a few minutes later. The first meeting was set up, and Bailey arrived as scheduled. He reviewed everything and put a quote together. The offered price was admittedly on the higher side, but our home is 40 years old and it had a lot of electrical issues to resolve, some other them potentially dangerous ones as mentioned here, so I considered the quote to be reasonable. The company didn't disappoint. Everybody involved did a fantastic job. They were all respectful, and willing to explain what they were doing whenever asked. Seeing them arrive in a company van, wearing company uniforms did a lot to ease our anxiety about trusting our home and the payment to strangers (at the time). They replaced all the many power outlets and switches, replaced a fan\light fixture up on a vaulted ceiling in our den. They replaced the main panel with all of its breaker switches with well-organized, new breaker switches and printed labels (instead of the messy, disorganized, hard to read hand scribbles there before). They installed a new grounding system, new whole home surge protection, and new AC fuses. They also painstakingly replaced many lightbulbs in the chandelier (the one that caused a house file) with new LED bulbs, being careful not to push any of the many glass panels off and onto the floor. (A previous electrician from years ago tried to do that, but he bumped into one of the glass panels and it shattered onto the floor below.) All of that in the blazing summer heat, and dealing with a hornet's nest discovered in the dry wall behind the breaker box. Guys, every one of you: thank you! Bailey was our go-to contact person. The technicians included Justin, Ronnie, Luna, Quan, and maybe one or two others. Apologies if I missed anybody.

Scheduling a free estimate for our Tesla EV charger install was quick and simple. Jose came out and gave us a quote on June 18. We were initially planning on going with Powerhouse Electric, but they seemed to be throwing up roadblocks and excuses the day of install even after we had completed remediation steps simply because they did not want to go into the crawlspace to run the cable. Powerhouse Electric was also extremely rude and unprofessional when we told them we were getting a secondary quote with Mr. Electric – which we are so glad we did! Our experience with Jose and Mr. Electric was the complete opposite experience in all of the best ways! Jose told us that our crawlspace looked good and that he could perform the installation as soon as the next day. Jose showed up on time on installation day and spent five hours running cable through the crawlspace and wiring and installing our Tesla EV charger on the exterior wall adjacent to our driveway. We are thrilled with the results, Jose’s professionalism throughout the entire process, and couldn’t recommend Mr. Electric more emphatically!
