Our lights suddenly dimmed in the kitchen, heater went off, stove top went off. Strange thing though lights in the rest of the house along with small things plugged in still worked. Found Mr. Electric on Yelp they had good reviews, so we called. Donn came out and was confused when we told him our problem. He checked the fuse box and said it's not internal you are not getting good levels coming in. He then called our power company to have them come out. He also offered to install a whole house surge protector, which we agreed to as the price was well worth it to protect expensive items. The electric company came and found that someone had messed with the meter on the house. He said people do that to reduce their electric bill. He said it could have caused a fire. We just bought this house 4 months ago, and were shocked that someone did something that could have cost us our home and possibly our lives. This is a long review, but we think people should know to check this when buying a house. Mr. Electri and our power company are awesome. Whoever messed with the meter, we bet Karma is looking for you.

Rep shows up in time and fixed issue / cleaned up the wiring for safety concerns

Donn done some electrical work for me about 2 months ago, and I am so pleased with his work. From the initial contact; he was easy to reach and very responsive to all forms of communication. He is very fair in price and goes the extra mile to make sure the work is done right and securely. He took the time to explain the work he was doing or any issues that arose, while completing the job. If I ever have any electrical work to be done, Mr. Electric of fredericksburg will be my first choice from now on. Months later and everything that donn worked on is working properly!

We had an emergency caused by surge from faulty electric company wire. Even though it was December 23 and most companies were “booked” all day, Donn made himself available. He came promptly and diagnosed the problem. He could only do so much because electric company had to finish their job and turn main breaker on. We were still left without much of our power including heat. Donn was willing to come back out on Christmas Eve and finish the job, saving us a ton of stress. We could not thank him enough, not recommend him enough. And my 3 year old daughter loved him.

Donn from Mr. Electric is absolutely the best!! Very professional and does excellent work. He came in, explained the diagnostics process, checked the fuse panel, found and replaced an overheated breaker and answered each and every one of my questions. Very capable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and customer service oriented. If you want reliable, service at an affordable price, give Donn at Mr. Electric a call.
