  • This recommendation may be long. But my saga was long, scary, and frustrating. And the Mr. Electric folks were my knights in shining armor! Corny? Maybe. But true. My AC went out in 97 degree weather. The AC company blamed it on electrical surges (incorrectly) and wouldn’t try further to repair things until I had been visited by an electrician. Every company was scheduling at least 3 weeks out! I couldn’t relocate to wait it out. I have a dog, formerly feral cat and nervous elderly cat. I was stuck. When I called Mr. Electric, Courtney listened to my story, truly empathized, and promised to look for a cancellation. She was good to her word! When Jeremy, the senior technician, arrived he listened carefully and got immediately to work. While he told me I was not having surges (which meant electrical interventions wouldn’t help the AC problem), he noticed a small area inside my breaker box that had melted. His attention to detail quite possibly saved me the heartache of going through a house fire! I was bumped to the urgent list and four men, including the owner of the company, worked for an entire day to install new main breaker boxes. They were very professional and efficient. Throughout the install I felt like they truly cared about their work and about me. I find it hard sometimes with service professionals to know if I’m getting “ripped off”. I had used this company years ago when the current owner, Joe, was a tech and had always felt that I could trust him to do a good job at a fair price. Now that he owns the company, he has installed that same ethos company-wide. This company is made up of just plain good people. Courtney (receptionist?) cares about people’s predicaments. Joe (owner) is motivated by the desire to be a skilled, fair company. And by being a caring member of the community—I discovered he stores 1800 flags for free for the Optimists’ Avenues of Flags they put at our curbs. And Jeremy (senior emergency technician?) is knowledgeable, efficient, dependable and caring. After this ordeal, I’ll never use a different electrician again. I’m thankful to have found a company in which I can have confidence. If you’re looking for help, I hope you’ll give them a try!
