I want to state up-front that I had two rather disappointing experiences with OTHER services prior to finding highly-rated Mr. Electric, and I have Yelp! to thank for turning me onto them. I think I began by calling Mr. Electric of Kansas City, because that's my local area, but after discussing my needs in an initial conversation, my call was routed to Mr. Electric of Lee's Summit, and I'm so glad how it's turned out for my modest home needs. Megan is the very-pleasant staffer who's lined me up with James–the affable skillful electrician who has now met or exceeded my rather lofty expectations four times in a row–each time. So far, the list of electrical devices that James has installed (either as replacements or new ones) is easily in the dozens. Every one works correctly with zero surprises (who wants electrical surprises?), other than my pleasant surprise at how thoughtful and considerate James was, wearing shoe covers to walk on my hardwood floors and he even cleaned up all the debris from the areas where he worked! He is worthy of five solid gold stars: Even their pricing met my expectations. Maybe not the cheapest, but well worth the $!

We had a fire alarm issue, where our alarms were going off without a fire being present. Leading me to believe that there was a short in the system somehow. I called Mr electric and they were able to send somebody out on priority and get it fixed within a couple hours.

There was some electrical work needed to be done secondary to an issue caused be weather. This required some updating to a house that is over 100 years old that belongs to my mother who is 98 years old. Needless to say we were not able to do an entire rewire of this home no did we wish to knowing the house itself was not worth the cost. We did however wasn’t to do the required work to make it as safe as possible for the duration of my mother’s life in this house. James was the main electrician I dealt with but the other young man with him was very kind and helpful as well, James did everything in his power to keep the repairs to the minimum required for safety and yet ensure my mother had everything she needed. He was very helpful and polite. The work they did was done quickly and efficiently and there was no mess left for me to clean up. I would not hesitate to refer anyone asking to this company.

My house needed electrical work. I suspected the main breaker was bad but decided based off actual training I'd just have a professional deal with it (I only know how to use some electrical tools from vehicle repairs). I was worried living in an older home we'd get BSed into being told we needed a bunch of electrical repairs like claiming something wasn't "up to code" or whatever so I was on guard. They showed up when my wife was home. Confirmed it was just the main breaker, replaced it, and verified the issue was resolved. No trying to oversell anything. We will call them again and have already referred them to people.
