On Monday August 16th, a truck carrying a bulldozer hit and knocked down the utility pole that supplied electric power to my home and my daughter's mobile home around 11:00 A.M. I had assumed that when I heard the loud explosions and lost power that the cause was the weather as it was raining very hard with gusty winds. Shortly after that there was a knock at my door and a Jones-Onslow technician told me about the actual cause and from that point on, Jones-Onslow technicians worked until late afternoon in driving rain and wind and to my amazement, replaced the pole, installed a new transformer, and restored power to the mobile home. In my case, when the pole fell, it ripped the meter panel and connection box off of my house so they could not restore power, but they did do everything needed for restoration of power when the panel was replaced. I called a local electrical service and, again, in spite of winds and heavy downpours with a steady rain, the meter panel and connection box was reattached to my home, ready for re-connection. I have been with Jones-Onslow for more than 30 years and have never been disappointed with their service, repairs or any other issue. If I knew anyone contemplating moving to this area, I would tell them to select a location served by Jones-Onslow….simply said, Quality service, caring people and very professional.
