The two people from Mr. Electric, Ryan and Zack, came to my house to fix an electrical issue. They were very friendly and very professional. I will definitely call on them again if I have any other electrical issues in the future. Thank you so much, Ryan and Zack!!! Keep up with your smiling faces and excellent work!!!

Ease of contacting for followup work. Technician, Austin, worked to solve problem areas. He always answered my calls and texts in a timely way.

My experience with Mr. Electric was excellent. Ronnie Montgomery, the technician/electrician, was comfortable to have in my home. He went out of his way to purchase items needed for repairs. Did a great job–so clean and neatly done. He was prompt and courteous and knowledgeable and cordial. I am so grateful.

Hugely impressed. Ronnie Montgomery was the electrician that was dispatched to me. He was clearly skilled with his tools and obviously knew what he was doing. Moreover he was thorough, efficient, timely, and courteous as anyone could ever dream of. I suspect your experience will be the same, regardless of the professional who is dispatched to you. Not convinced? Read below. Ronnie worked for an hour, fully investigating the issues, thinking about and discussing my project goals, in detail, listening at every step, letting me interrupt and ask dumb questions along the way (I was annoying and shadowed him) and explaining electrical basics to me, as well as helping me think through problem-solving he was doing. (I have a PhD in Sport Science… so relatively smart guy, with zero electrical experience). The project I had in mind was for a very short-term purpose, and I eventually decided against it once he took the time to explain all the decisions he was making along the way. The cost became prohibitive because our building is old and has been wired in many stages over the years. When I asked how I could pay him for the hour of labor and the service call, he said “Nothing.” I resisted. Genuinely smiling he said, “We do free estimates, you don’t owe me a thing. Here’s my card if you ever need anything else looked at.” When he said … ” ‘We’ do free estimates ” … there was an emphasis on the “We,” which confirmed for me that he not only took strong personal pride in his physical work and customer service, but was also proud to be a part of the company that he works for. That only happens when the rest of the company does and feels the same. That’s why I suspect YOUR experience will be the same as mine, regardless of who is dispatched to you. Customer service off the charts. Genuine interest in learning your goals. In depth knowledge and amazing ability to teach the basics to the electrically incompetent. If ever I need electrical work done in east Tennessee, I will only be calling one place. Can’t recommend highly enough. Wish I could give 6 stars. PS. That doesn’t even begin to mention the efficiency of their whole company, replete with phone answering on the first call, text and email reminders, and if you text their automated texting system back with a question about something, a real person responds immediately via text with an answer! Photos taken at the job site of every involved component, and a paper estimate as well as an emailed copy with the pictures! Free. FREE. THAT is how business should be done. (Full disclosure: I have no affiliation or previous experience with this business before this week when I placed the call for our small project).

Schedule ServiceFrequently Asked Questions About EV Charger Installation in Andersonville, Tennessee
The safety of you, your family, and home are the top priority of every local Mr. Electric service professional. Our safety-first commitment to solving your electrical issues includes a meticulous attention to detail on every job. Our commitment also includes using our years of experience to answer your questions. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our electrician services in Andersonville, Tennessee.
-
Mr. Electric is your go-to expert for electric vehicle (EV) charger installation in Andersonville. Our team specializes in installing a full range of EV chargers, including hardwired high-amperage units, plug-in models, and smart Wi‑Fi options with load sharing. A 32—40A charger is a great option for daily commutes under 40 miles. For longer trips or households with multiple EVs, a 48—60A charger can speed up the charging process. Renters often prefer plug-in chargers with NEMA 14-50 outlets for greater flexibility. Homeowners generally opt for hardwired EV charger installations in Andersonville, Tennessee, for enhanced speed, permanence, and reliability. Not sure which charger to go for? Schedule a visit from a Mr. Electric professional in Andersonville. We’ll evaluate your electrical panel, manage the necessary permits, and ensure that your charger meets your needs and local code requirements.
-
Most electric vehicle chargers require a dedicated 240V circuit to avoid tripping circuit breakers or interfering with other devices. While Level 1 chargers can usually be plugged into a standard outlet, their charging speed is much slower. A panel upgrade is only needed if your panel is full or your service can’t handle the added load. If your panel is near capacity, alternatives like load management devices, smart chargers that throttle during peaks, or repurposing an existing 240V circuit may help you avoid a full upgrade. If you’re considering a second EV or future upgrades, a 200A service upgrade can help future-proof your home, simplify permitting, and accommodate additional high-demand appliances. A Mr. Electric professional can assess your panel’s capacity and offer the safest, most affordable solution for your electric car charger installation in Andersonville.
-
Installing an EV charger at home typically requires an electrical permit and a final inspection from your local building department. The installer submits the load calculation and plan, and the inspector ensures that the dedicated circuit, breaker size, and code compliance are up to code before providing approval. Residents of condos, apartments, or HOA communities will likely need written permission from the association or property manager, along with a municipal permit. Utility companies and insurers may also require proof of a permitted installation to qualify for rebates or maintain coverage. Additionally, upgrades like panel changes, new circuits, or increased service capacity may necessitate extra permits or coordination with your utility provider. If you’re planning EV charger installation in Andersonville, make sure your provider follows the necessary steps to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A Mr. Electric professional in Andersonville, Tennessee, can manage everything, including permits, installation, and the inspection process.
-
A safe EV charger installation in Andersonville begins with a code-compliant electrical plan. This includes performing accurate load calculations and a detailed review of your electrical panel to confirm your home can safely carry the additional load of an EV charger. After all necessary permits are finalized, a Mr. Electric service professional will install a dedicated circuit matched to your EV charger. We apply the manufacturer’s torque specifications on every connection, complete proper bonding throughout the system, and integrate whole-home surge protection to help protect both your EVSE and your vehicle during charging. Our local electricians use only UL-listed components and provide the required GFCI protection for chargers located in garages or outdoors. Outdoor EV charger installations in Andersonville also receive additional protections, including weather-rated enclosures (NEMA 3R/4), sealed conduit with drip loops, proper mounting height, and clearances that promote ventilation and easy accessibility. Before energizing, we’ll label the breaker, verify panel capacity, and test the circuit so you can charge with confidence. For electric car charger installation in Andersonville, trust our local Mr. Electric professionals.
-
Yes! A Mr. Electric professional can diagnose issues with your existing EV charging station and replace worn or faulty components like cables, connectors, holsters, and breakers. Our electricians service most charger brands and models with code-compliant electrical repair. If your charger is tripping breakers or overheating, or has suddenly gone offline, our team can step in with urgent troubleshooting. We put safety and compliance first, completing a full inspection of your charger, circuit, and panel before we replace any components. We also address code-related repairs like GFCI protection, proper breaker sizing, and detailed load calculations. Once the work is complete, we handle necessary permitting and verify performance with calibrated testing to ensure every repair or replacement meets code requirements. We can also assist with ongoing maintenance and upgrades, whether it’s replacing worn components, installing surge protection, or increasing your circuit to support higher charging speeds. For fast repairs or a new EV charger installation in Andersonville, your local Mr. Electric team is here to help.
