  • I had my service panel upgraded back in 2019. At that time, I had a surge protector installed for my service panel as a CYA in case anything happens. We had a bad storm a week ago and I had a power surge that not only knocked out the power in the neighborhood in the weirdest way (some people had power, some had partial power, and others – myself included – had no power) as well as blew out my surge protector. I called their number around 9pm, honestly not expecting an answer, because I had no power in my home, but my surge protector would not stop buzzing and I didn’t know how to turn it off, even after shutting off the breakers in my basement. Well, someone did answer. They were very professional, friendly, and assisted me when I was freaking out when my basement lights started smoking before they blew and I shut off the power to my basement. I spoke to technician Richard, who not only told me how to shut the protector off, but also saved me the after hours service call by offering to come out the following morning. I called first thing when they opened and they were out at my home by 11am. They replaced the surge protector, and even stayed to be sure everything in my home was working before they left. Just today, I received a call from Richard. He let me know that because my previous protector was under warranty, they were refunding the cost to replace the new one. That was totally unexpected and some very welcome news. I do have some other projects I need to have done to my home, and will definitely use them when I’m ready to have that work done. I’ve even expressed my gratitude on social media and recommended Mr. Electric if any of my friends need electrical work done.
