Made an expensive, new friend last week. Curt from Mr. Electric was thorough, efficient and, overall, good to deal with. His “safety check” of the electric system turned up a few unexpected items which I appreciate, even if getting those issues addressed had an eyebrow-raising price tag for a customer that has not dealt with electricians in many years. It’s just the cost of home ownership. Better safe than sorry.

When you are a retired woman living alone, inviting strangers into your home can be scary. Living on a limited income just adds to that fear, making hiring an electrician seem quite overwhelming to me. I had literally put it off for years! So, imagine my relief when I opened the door to Joey Byers' smiling face and his reassurance that first and foremost he was there to keep me safe. He did a free inspection of my home and sat with me to go over every detail of what he found, giving me individual quotes for each item of concern and making it easy for me to choose what I could afford. All the while he was pretending to eat the play pizza my 2 year old granddaughter kept offering him. He is neat and tidy and so conscientious in his work, you simply could not ask for a better work ethic, and anyone that can quote Clint Eastwood gets extra points in my book! Ask him about Kansas… unless you’re from there… in which case, you might want to skip that. And Joey… it was The Outlaw Josey Wales… (I googled it lol). The antique chandeliers I had him hang (not an easy job in a very hot attic filled with knee high insulation) totally changed the look and feel of my home and put a permanent smile on my face. I’ll be hiring Joey again and recommending him to everyone I know. God bless you Joey… you brought a whole new meaning to “Go Ahead… Make My Day!”
