Wondering about the pool electrical installation process? Here’s what you can expect:
Pool Electrical Requirements Assessment
We start by evaluating your existing electrical panel and figuring out how many dedicated circuits you’ll need for your pool equipment. You might need just one for now, but want us to install two or more to handle future pool upgrades.
Pool Electrical Panel Preparation
If your existing panel has slots left, we go ahead and install the necessary dedicated circuits. If it’s already full, we can add a sub-panel for dedicated pool circuit breakers or recommend requesting a service upgrade from your electric company to expand your existing panel.
Pool Electrical Wiring and Grounding
We trench the ground between your electrical panel and pool equipment to hold the heavy-grade wiring required. Then we install the wiring and add ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) to prevent potential water-conducted electrical shock from happening near your pool.
Pool Electrical Hookup and Testing
Finally, we connect your pool pump and any additional equipment such as a heater, lighting, or automatic cover to your new dedicated new circuit(s) and complete a thorough safety test and inspection.
