Be Patient

Carefully Remove the Existing Light Bulb
After it has cooled, you can carefully unscrew the bulb from its position. Plastic LED lights are often resistant to damage when dropped, but incandescent, CFL and Halogen lights can shatter. Be sure to dispose of the old bulb in the appropriate manner.
Find a Replacement Bulb
Next, you will need to have the right replacement bulb on hand. If you already have one stored away than congratulations for being prepared. Using a bulb with the wrong specifications could lead to rapid burnout of the bulb or damage to your light fixture.
Unpackage New Bulb and Place It into the Socket
When you are ready to insert the new bulb, carefully unpackage the item and put the new unit safely into place. Avoid screwing the bulb in too tight or loosely.
Restore Electricity to the Light Fixture and Test
Finally, you can go to the electrical panel and restore power to your light switch. Test the bulb to make sure it is working.
